my lil girl is out of the hospital and doing much better.. thanks to all of you who really cared.. things are a bit crazy at the moment but i wanted to write and let u all know im still here..

First off.. thanks to Carolyn for keeping a watchful eye on my home and my kids!! And to Bobbi thanks so much for your very kind and heartfelt words!! And to all of you who tried to hit the board but couldnt thank you and we felt you praying.. We are home and we have power!!! thank God!!!!  Harmony is doing better with each passing day!! thanks Tam for bringing your kids over to vistit her.. i know it meant the world to her to see her best buddy!

so much to tell you all.. we just got back from a trip up to the Mt. rented some snowmobiles and went sledding and the kids got to try out cross-country sking! it was a lot of fun and a much needed break from the day to day grind.. mainly i wanted to do something for my middle child Harmony., she has to under back surgery tomorrow morning.. please keep her in your thoughts and prayers... its had not to show fear to her.. but it wouldnt help her to know im freaking so i hold it together the best i can..

  i got a chance to doing some writing at the cabin.. i cant wait to get back here and start working again.. there is so much i need to say through song.. so much pain to vent! lets just say ANYTHING that could go wrong has!  the snow was fun and the place was nice... but, other things.. the things u cant really share but in song.. so keep listening, you will hear some great stuff!!!

Some of you will understand some won't, But for now just please keep Harmony in your prayers she is what matters right now.

yeah its been a while sorry... so much to talk about but so lil i can really share with all.. as many of you know my daughter Harmony is set to go in for back surgery a 12 hr procedure none of us are looking forward to. i am still writing and recording.. i got a major mess in my studio.. omg u should see it!!! looks like ass in here! please keep streaming.. i may be listing some work out stuff on ebay soon... big heavy bag wieght machine etc. i'll let u guys know should any one want something... i would sign anything i sold to a fan.. everything from boxing gloves to speed bags and i have a few really cool bruce lee posters their cloth.. throwning knifes.. etc. i need the space..

well, i know its been a while.. but man things have been crazy lately.. closing  LAND deal is harder than i thought it would be... but its done now AND ITS MINE!!! i am looking forward to my dream home being built!! its kinda fun picking out bathroom tile and hardwood flooring... omg did i just say that lol... the new album has been put off because i keep writing new tunes!! but this one will be sooooo worht the wait TRUST ME!

wow i guess its been a while huh!!! well.. i have  been hella busy with the kids getting back to school.. making sure they have what the need, making sure they leave on time and do their home work.. u know the drill!!!! Alpha Sound Productions is getting a face lift!!! hardwood flooring for the vocal and the master booths! new paint.. some new toys.. flat screens etc. guitar wall hangers that move from side to side.. they kick ass!!! now in the middle of all this going on... i am getting ready to have our dream house built!!! i bought some land.. just under 3arcs.. sooooooooooo damn nice!!! omg the view is breath taking!!! along with the house we will be rebuilding Apha... shes gonna be nearly twice the size of her older sister! AND set in a daylight basement! omg.. i cant wait!!! i have been saving for this project since i got signed! almost three yrs ago now! so i should have plenty to make this next studio the bomb.. mezzer and i are still working together.. we have some way cool shit coming out very soon,... no doubt matt will be burning up and dowm the fret board on a few of these kicking cuts!

thanks again for all the birthday wishes!! it was a great b-day! i just got back from some much needed r-n-r @ the ocean!! god, i love it there... getting ready 2 send my kids back to school..:( yes i am one of those wierd parents that hates seeing them go.. my lil boy is my best friend.. i am tempted to keep him and home school him.. but he does so well at school.. arggg... the new album is going to be put off a bit longer.. i lost my hard drive with all of my masters on it.. yeah i balled like a bitch!! i sent the drive off to have the data restored.. ouch!!! painful on the pocket book!! but well worth the 5yrs worth of work there in...

i have learned my lession from now on i am backing everything up!! i also am having a new GOD  built for me by the pc master DR.J himself!!! im not messing around this time.. we pulled out all the stops.. i am getting a 250gb drive for the recording pc and another 250gb for back up only! since i cant record until the end of the week.. i am re-working my home studio.. Alpha is getting a face lift.. i bought 2 brand new flat screens and the biggy.oh Yeah!!! i bought a new mixer board!!! this thing is a monster!!! hugh!!! 24tr/ch mixer 16 bus and more head room than 2 of my old ones put together!!!! this is the board that "no doubt" recording once of their albums on!! needles to say it kicks ass!!!  I CANT WAIT TO GET BACK TO WORK!! this thing has more lights on it than a christmas tree!! lmao i canrt wait to plug my new mic in2 the new mixer and test out the new pc recorder!!! thanks Pete for making all of this possible!! without your help i wouldnt know what kind of pc i wanted.. ur the man!!!

i have some great news!!! Carla is back online!!!! thats right!! Melodrift is back up and kicking ass! me,,, well i have been boating when i can.. i went and saw my mom & dad a few days ago and their new home that they are fixing up for resale.. LOOKING GREAT GUYS!!! it was great to see them again...

i can only go so long without hanging with my mom and i start to his disconnected. she is my life. my good friend pete johnston came out a few nights back.. we jammed on some riffs til late,.. i have soooooo much music on my plate...

wow i cant believe how fast this year is going by!!! my lil boy turns 7 tomorrow!!! i cant wait for his party... yeah i went all out!!! anyway.. the update is..; i have been working on a few new tunes with Mezzer and writing some of my own as well.. 

been a bit pissed off lately i must say... i cant go into it really but i can tell ya this much.. it sucks getting screwed over by your so called friends so much more than some asshole u dont know.. my wife was doing some book keeping for a friend of mines company.. life long friendship mind you.. anyway, this lil punk bitch that works with my pal fires my wife via email!!!  for no reason... she has done a wonderful job for these people just as she has for everyone she has done work for.. but these blow hards dont want to pay taxes lol anyway,... i am working on some get well forms with the i.r.s. good luck boys!!

well i think i am over all the sickness anyone person should have to go thru! i know theres a few dads in the fan club so your going to find this funny!

i just found out yesterday that my oldest daughter (jr-high) is playing boyfriend girlfriend with some local loser! ohhh yeah i was over joyed! as Roth would put it! why do kids ask other kids "will you go with me?" where the hell are you going, you dont have a car.. and i sure as hell aint taking you anywhere. its funny, i said the same thing though..  nothing bad went down between the two of them, that i know of anyway. but those of you who have written in from her school.. will be watching for me huh.. lol kinda funny really.. she is a sweet kid, but more importantly she has something most kids at that school dont, she has chance! she is an honor role student, and ill be damned if im going to let some lil zit faced punk ass boy bitch stand between her and her dreams.. fathers need to take a bigger role in their kids lives.. now i could say im going to go beat his ass, but you know and i know, i wont.. however, i have a fan base that reaches to kids in the local high school who would do it for the practice. i can be a real sweetie, ask anyone.. unless you mess with my family or my friends..

i am pressing on.. ever stronger towards the goal.. some of the wildest crap keeps happening to me though.. lol i got an email from some guy wanting to know why his girlfriend has me in her contact list.. like i would know!!! lose him honey, you dont need another daddy telling u who to write to!

if you want me to i will sign your cd "thanks for the wonderful night" show that to him! lol... sadly i have no idea who she is..  i went out a few nights ago and had a few beers, man i cant believe how nasty cig smoke is to me now!! it will be yrs in feb. since i kicked..  i couldnt stay very long.. the smell was awful.. im not saying i hate smokers or anything.. i know what its like to be hooked.. i feel sorry for those still not free.. people have asked me how i can drink without smoking.. um, well it tastes better for one! and the hangover of a smoker is way harsher! not that i drink all the time or anything.. cause i dont..

a few days ago i got a message from my funnender site from a girl who didnt leave her name she would only say she was a blast from the past... i was going through names.. hm, who could it be.. "Debbie",, Holly Cindy...??? She never wrote back hahaha... the guessing goes on.. have a great week people!

i have been working on some live recordings... acoustic stuff mainly.. its cool though..a got a few emails from bands and or other players.. people wanting to put something together or have me join up.. most i wouldnt look twice at.. but there are a few that have me thinking.. i guess i would be into it if the band could play my music, and go under my name.. i know how this all sounds but.. i have been working on this for a long ass time now.. one way to find out what the band name should or would be, is to just google the name they are using and then google mine.. the one that fills the most pages is the winner!

now u can see why i dont like the idea of a "group" jamming with people is cool.. thats not the same thing at all..i would be more open to a band like that.. under those terms.. most of the groups i have played in turn out to be big messes.. friend you dont talk to when it breaks up... oh and it will break up.. theres always one asshole who messes it up for the rest of ya.. could be the guitar player is a drunk fool.. or the drummer is a big baby.. or the keyboardist thinks he;s in stix! when u work with players online.. u get what u want or u simply dont use it~! very easy...

no more looking down at the call id and going " damn what the hell does he want" lol

I just got back from a short trip to the ocean.. i love grayland Wa. everyone there seems to be so nice! did some body surfing, the waves were great! had a few cold ones by the fire under the fading but clear summer sky! i hope you had a great time also tam.. I found a very cool Dave to buy the cd lol thanks man!!!  the kids start school tomorrow! wow that went by fast huh..  our family had a great summer i hope all of you did as well..

ya know its funny, a lil over a week ago i was out on our speed boat with my kids, just them and me.. while watching my almost 14yr old daughter drive my boat near top speed.. i thought about how my goal is and really has always been for them, (my kids) to have a better childhood than i did. mine was good.. not easy to top. i am thankful i have been able to spend this summer with them. no daycares no being left alone at home for hours and hours alone! no being sent to grandma and grandpas for a month at a time! everything that is really good has happened with my kids being near me. when i started my fan club, the kids were with me.. they were the first members lol. when i got my big break and signed on with Meldrift, i didnt run off to get shit faced with friends.. i was with my kids! when i sold my first cd over the internet, when i got signed to DSP-itunes-musicnow! When I broke 30,000 plays on funender!!  they are my 3 best friends in the world! say what you want about me, but cross them and fill in the blank!

hi all.. i wanna thank everyone who orderd "compass rose" i hope you enjoy playing it as much as i did recording it! if you have yet to get your own copy feel free to buy it at any time. heres something a bit odd or even kinda funny really.. a family member told me he would like to order two, so i set two aside and sign them and get them ready for shipping. i never get the paypal go ahead, so i write this person to see what the hold up is. days goes by without an answer. by now i am starting to get a lil pissed off. harsh words a texted back and forth.. he comes out with, " i thought you were going to bill me bri" wow  no one told me they were still making stupid like that. who the hell bills for cds??? i am a signed artist! does bono hand out a po box for checks/money orders. so u all know me.. the text after that wasnt nice!! he picks that time to let his wife in on the fight!!!  pms has its way with the cell phone yet again.. she is pissing me off more than he did.. i am getting so mad and texting so fast that my thumb is cramping! lol and i am leaving words out left and right.. i think faster than i text. anyway.. they suck!

hey all... working hard on a new tune i cant wait to share with you. its got a sweet groove. still selling cds.. buy one if you havent yet!!!! :)

i found out my brother in law has been talking smack about how i raise my kids.. funny.. well, sad really.. i mean, i knew he was an ass but i didnt know he was an ass in need of being beat! lol.. awww cant blame him though, he is a twin.. and i think the other got the looks and the brains! it would seem in his mind that because my child has been on honor roll and has a great head on her sholders, i must not let her have enough fun! lol everyone that meets my kids have nothing to say but good things about them. so that must make me a real asshole huh???? odd.. a few years back, i was working with the joke of a man. i had my kids with a friend of the family for a daycare. she quit after three years, so did i. i gave up working and decided to do with less and raise my kids myself. a stay @ home dad with a wicked recording studio! on school days i would get up around 5am and head to the studio to work on music/fan-club etc. then i would get them ready and walk them to the bus stop. god im mean! hahaha shhhhhh dont tell, but sometimes i would let them stay home with me so we could have fun play games, go for a ride, you name it. when the kids got off the bus i have always been there to greet them, hear about their day and get them something  healthy to eat, and have them do their homework...(my god what a jerk) lol

i have stayed away from her side of the family because no matter what i do, they hate me.. im not one to really care, because i think they are all so full of it! they treat eachother like crap! fight like lil kids. and thats fine because my wife is funny when she is mad at her retard brother! i think its cute! :) however when the loser starts talking shit about my kids.. arrrrrrrrggggggg i wanna pound him normal! i know in most cases i would be starting something by posting this.. but Cher tells me he isnt what you would call a "reader" A.D.D. i think... its funny because he has no clue, no idea of who i am. not really, he might know who i was when i was 19 but hell everyone changes! i have worked very hard to raise my kids with love and still have my music @ the same time. i dont think he knows i am signed! he has no idea about the money im making these days!! we decided not to share any of that kind of info with her family... guess where my kids were on saturday and sunday??? out on the sound with me on my speed boat!!! wonder where his were????? bet he does too! the pile has no idea what i do with my kids.. i would lay down my life for them... my dad brought me up the same way, with the same love.. sure he was no push over, but i grew up knowing he was on my side! he also started teaching me how to box when i was 5yrs old, had me working a speed bag on a chair when i was 7yrs old, by the time i was 11, i could work it as good as rocky himself! i had my lil boy on a chair smacking my speed bag last week.. its cool to pass this stuff down to them.. my lil girl can throw a sweet right hook! i feel sorry for the boy who doesnt know no means no, when it comes to my girls! And because i took the time to raise them myself they will say no!

This summer has been sweet here in Wa. I took my folks out on my speed boat yesterday, had a blast. i recorded a new tune and i am working on 3 others. got some bad blood between me and what could have been a really cool friend to my wife.. she jokingly hit on her in front of me, and couldnt see why this might bother me! it wasnt just the only time... this chick would say sh!t to me everytime i spoke to her..and i guess shes a bit slow, she couldnt get that she was starting to piss me off. oh well, no big loss.

Wow this summer is going by fast!!!  crazy busy.. lots of recording.. trying to bring along two albums at the same time..another birthday coming up.. on the 28th.. cant beleive im hitting the big 30 again!! hah

Back home after a few days out of state and in the heat!!! i had a great time.. but as always its good to be home. i am still going through album art ideas.. i should have brought the pics with me.. i sat in sea-tac for 4 hrs waiting to fly out!!!

Today I got all the vox done for the new song "handle with care" i think it will be on the up coming album.. i found out my mother inlaw is still talking trash about me after all of these years.. theres a lady who needs a f'ing hobby! they just have no idea! she was talking to a fan club member and didnt even know it! they are everywhere! lol she said i should give this up and get a real job.. lol she doesnt know about the record deal.. come to think of it.. she doesnt know i am on over 60 internet radio stations or that i just signed a sweet distor deal! this may be a good thing.. my wife owes them money.. i dont need it coming out of album sales ahahh! the fan, told her i have been signed and things are going really well.. she says "seeing is believing" ok crazy!!! Google me! you're ganna slander me i can do it right back, only I HAVE A BIGGER SOAP BOX

yesterday was a blast!!!!! we took my boat out and hung out all day on the bay!! we went to "our spot" and spent the day there.. then we took to boat over to a fireworks show.. and hung out on the water and watched the money burn.. i didnt get home until midnight..

Today I got my 9 page Distribution agreement signed! i really cant go into it all that much just yet.. but lets just say, life at the Sonneman home just got a lot nicer!!!! This is by far the bigest deal i have ever been a part of.. Thank you Carla!

Yesterday i layed down some more vocals for "all around me" Pete came out and we got a lot done. today i am dreaming of an ocean trip! its time its way past time. i need to see the beach again. i am back in the studio working on answering emails and recording some parts.

wow the kids are out of school! they all seemed to do really well this year. my first born made honor role a few times and my middle child brought her grades up as well.. the baby, he loved his first year of school.. and became loved by all. i am back in the studio working on the next album.

Father’s day was nice. I enjoyed my kids; we hung out in the pool and played. Yesterday was so hot I just had to take the boat out. Today is field day for my lil guy and my middle child. Dorian, my youngest loved his first year of school. He had a great teacher!

 

   I wrapped up vocals on another track with Mezzer. It is called “don’t call me”

Yesterday I went and bought flowers for my wife, everyone go awwwwwww,... yeah yeah, i get that a lot! And no i wasnt in the "doghouse" and NO it isnt her birthday... why did i do it than? just because.. and i'll tell ya something [guys] "just because" will get you more points than a puppy! i showed up at her work with them, gave em to her in front of everyone... yeah i know.. im good like that! then i took her out to lunch, just because.. i am back in the studio this morning warming up for some vocals on a new hard rock tune.

i am still helping my friend clean up her past. its really cool to see the changes in her life since dumping her white trash loser! some of you know what i am talking about.. some of you dont [the guy who got drunk on his kids birthday].. she has a wonderful little family and her struggle has afforded them the opportunity to have a normal happy fulfilling childhood. she has found a really nice house and is making it a home. she is starting to feel safe. she should, i am only 7min away and i dont like this punk! he gets high and drunk everyday and i work out 3times a week "boxing" you do the math! i dont leave messages! ya know its funny, she hates him so much she is willing to let him slide on by without paying child support! she doesnt want to have to deal with him i guess.. i hope she turns him in... they throw dead beats like him in jail! thats one way to let your kids know how you feel.. drink your pocket change! rather than. i know this isnt much.. but you go get something you like honey! why am i saying all of this? in hopes he will somehow read it? nah, i dont think he reads.. i am saying this.. for two reasons, 1st. to vent! 2nd. for any woman that might feel as though they are trapped in a Sh!tty life! any girl who feels she has no worth because she has been with someone worthless! all of you who have been beaten down by someone stronger, not smarter! for little kids that have to listen to a drunken fool raging on a working mother!

yesterday i spent hours just driving around thinking about the new record. sometimes its good to get out of the studio and shake off the dust a bit! and a fast car can do the trick. i also did an interview with Teshy a wonderful girl from the street team. im sure that will be posted soon. last night i was up late working on the "king of the world" album with my co-producer Dr.J a.k.a. Pete (you got ta slam that thing) Johnston! We were up late editting vocals, God i love this job!

there was a time not to long ago when i hated the inner workings of mixing/editting-cutting etc, i just wanted to rock the mic and let someone else pick the best of my takes for me. NOT ANYMORE!  well its back to the beat! my thoughts are with you Ashley, i hope you feel better soon.   :(

Sunday I recorded vocals with Pete Johnston on the song “All around me.” We decided to re-record that song for the up-coming “King of the world” album. We are hoping to wrap things up tonight. Monday I found myself before the mic again, laying down vocals for “Mothersday”

Well. i took a lot of the day off yesterday... did the hot-tub thing. i went for a drive and played a few of the backing tracks i have been working on. the Tahoe has a good stock cd player, so i got a good idea of where everything is resting in the mix. i am back in the studio again this morning. but not for long.. i have stuff i have to go do today.. if i get back in time i might start on some vocals..

Back in the Studio today wrapping up guitar parts for a new song. I may get the chance to plug in a mic and start throwing down some vocals, but i doubt it.

Some crazy guy called my house last weekend at like 11pm telling me he was my brother! Very odd! Get a record deal and they bloody come out of the wood-work!

Speaking of odd phone calls, an old friend of mine.. well x friend really, calls me up at 1:30 in the morning and leaves a drunk message. mmmm how thoughtful! Keep in mind I have a 6yr old boy in the next room fast asleep. What kind of A-hole calls someone up after not speaking with them for well over a year, and lets it ring until voice mail grabs it? And the message, oh this is the best part.. I should upload it for all to hear! This loser is leaving me his new number (i didn't have his old number) and saying "give me a call BRO lets make some music ok" You bet! I'll get right on that. NOT! The last time I saw this guy, he stopped by my house out of the blue.. it had been so long since I had seen him, i damn near beat his ass when he opened my gate and walked up my drive way! My kids had no idea who he was. I had just kicked smoking about three months before. He pulls out a cigg and puffs away in my driveway. The stink is finding its way into my house. He knew I was trying to kick. I had also failed three other times! One of them was with him! Odd that he chose this time to come back and pay a visit. Almost like someone told him, hey Sonneman is trying to quit smoking again, hurry up and get over there and see if you cant get him to start up! lol upon leaving this wonderful person flicked his still lit butt in my drive way. My lil boy runs over and stomps it out. Yes son that is what a loser looks like! After he left I didn't hear from him for about 14months. Wow time flys when you have a life!
